Is Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 Cross-Platform?

Tom Clancy’s The Division 2

The Division 2, four years after its release on PC and last-gen consoles, continues to maintain a dedicated player base.

Regular updates have kept it a popular title even in 2024. Despite its longevity, many players, both new and experienced, still have questions about its features, especially crossplay and cross-platform functionalities.

Is Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 CrossPlay?

No, currently, The Division 2 does not support crossplay. Previously, PC players could team up with those on Google Stadia, but this feature was removed after Stadia shut down.

This means PlayStation 4 players cannot play with friends on Xbox One or PC. Similarly, PC players cannot join or add friends using different systems.

For now, you can only play with and against players on your own system. This is disappointing for most of the Division community. Hopefully, Ubisoft developers will add this feature in the future.

Does The Division 2 Support CrossPlatform?

No, in The Division 2, doesn not support cross-platform functionality. If you’re playing on a PS4, you won’t be able to use the same account on an Xbox One. Instead, you will need to create a new account and start from scratch.

However, there’s good news for PC players. If you own The Division 2 on Steam and wish to switch to Epic Games or Luna, you can easily access your account on these platforms without any hassle.

This flexibility is a significant advantage for those who prefer to switch between different PC applications.

This cross-platform feature is automatically enabled when you create your account, so there’s no need to adjust any settings. It’s a straightforward process that ensures your game progress is preserved across different PC platforms.

However, there is a catch: you must purchase The Division 2 separately on each platform you wish to play on.

For example, owning the game on Steam does not grant you access on Epic Games or vice versa. Each version of the game needs to be bought individually, which can be an additional expense.
