Is Phasmophobia Crossplay?
Phasmophobia, which has been on Steam Early Access for a long time, will be released on consoles later this year. Players are curious if they’ll be able to play with friends on different consoles and if they can keep their game progress when switching platforms.
If you’re curious about Phasmophobia’s ability to connect players across platforms or keep game progress consistent, you’re in luck. In this article, we’ve provided answers to these questions about playing with friends and transferring progress between platforms.
Is Phasmophobia Crossplay?
Certainly! Phasmophobia will support crossplay among PC, VR, and console players when it launches on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PSVR 2. This means PC players can join games with console players and vice versa. VR players can also play with non-VR players.
Crossplay will obviously be a choice. It means you can decide if you want to play with people on different devices.

Is Cross Progression Available in Phasmophobia?
It’s not clear if the game will let you keep your progress across different platforms. Though it will let players from different platforms play together, it’s usually harder to make cross-progression work compared to crossplay.
This is because it needs agreements between companies like Microsoft, Sony, and Phasmophobia’s creators, Kinetic Games. Or it needs a system where you sign in once, which Phasmophobia doesn’t have yet.
But all this is just guessing. Kinetic Games hasn’t said anything about cross progression in the game. Maybe it will be available when the game comes out on consoles. If not, it might come later.
