Is MultiVersus Crossplay?

MultiVersus

MultiVersus had a strong start with its open beta in 2022 but faced challenges as the number of players dropped quickly. Because of this, they closed the servers in June 2023 to prepare for a complete release.

After relaunching on May 28, 2024, MultiVersus is now available again, drawing players back to the game after its shutdown. But the question remains: does it still offer the crossplay and cross-progression features that were promised during the beta?

Here’s the information you need about the game’s crossplay and cross-progression features.

Does MultiVersus Support Crossplay & Cross-Progression?

  • Yes, MultiVersus offers complete crossplay and cross-progression across all platforms, including PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4. This has been confirmed by Player First Games on the MultiVersus FAQ page.
  • If you switch from Steam to Epic Games, there are no issues with crossplay or cross-progression because everything is linked to your Warner Bros Games account.

  • Cross-progression is always enabled by default. If you switch platforms, you simply need to log in to your Warner Bros Games account on the new platform to start playing.
  •  If you want to play with friends on different platforms, you need to activate crossplay. This is done by going to your settings, selecting the online tab, and turning on crossplay.
  • Remember, crossplay is turned off by default, so if you do not enable it, you will not be able to play with or against players on different platforms.
