As the last console generation was winding down, we saw a significant increase in cross-platform multiplayer.

Games like Rocket League and Overwatch eliminated barriers to who you could play with, creating a stronger overall player base.

Another such upcoming game for which the gaming community wants cross-platform play to be functional is Farming Simulator 22 and if you’re one of those who’re wondering about the same, worry not, as in this post we’ve got you covered with all that you need to know about its cross-platform features.

Is Farming Simulator 22 Cross-Platform?

Yes, Farming Simulator 22 will support cross-platform multiplayer when it releases on November 22.

Players on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series will be able to play together.

Boris Stefan, Head of Publishing at GIANTS Software, stated that successful crossplay is a big step forward for the multiplayer experience in the Farming Simulator series, which is now self-published.

As the game gains popularity globally among both PC and console players, it enables players to connect without limitations. Cooperative farming is evolving!

Farming Simulator 22 will also offer more customization options, making each virtual farmer feel unique.

This includes new player models, hairstyles, clothing, and accessories, with some items featuring well-known brands like Case IH, CLAAS, Fendt, and John Deere.

Roman Pelypenko, Senior Character Artist, noted that Farming Simulator is popular in multiplayer mode among a wide range of fans.

They enjoy playing together after work or in role-play scenarios. The game will now offer many new options for character customization.

Starting Fresh: Creating a New Server Today

The ‘Create Game’ screen has similar settings to the ‘Join Game’ screen.

You can name your server, set a password for privacy, turn cross-play on or off, and choose to allow only friends to join your server.

This last option usually works only on the platform you are using.

After starting the server, creating your character, and entering the game, go to the Farm Management section in the pause menu.

There, you’ll find a button to invite friends to your server. This invitation option appears in the bottom left of the screen, as shown in the image below.

Once your friends join, you’re all set to enjoy everything Farming Simulator 22 has to offer together!
