Is Batman Arkham Knights Crossplatform?

Batman Arkham Knights

In recent Batman movies, he’s usually portrayed as a solitary figure, but in the DC comics, he often leads his Bat-family. This is evident in Gotham Knights, a game available for next-gen consoles and PC.

Players have the opportunity to control Robin, Red Hood, Nightwing, and Batgirl, showcasing the diverse team dynamic of the Bat-family.

Is Batman Arkham Knights Crossplatform?

Unfortunately, Gotham Knights lacks crossplay support, meaning players on different gaming platforms cannot join forces or compete against each other. This limitation can be disappointing for those hoping to team up with friends who own the game on a different system.

Without crossplay, players are confined to teaming up exclusively with others on the same platform, potentially limiting the pool of available partners for cooperative gameplay.

Does Gotham Knights Offer Multiplayer?

In Gotham Knights, multiplayer mode is introduced for the first time in the modern Batman game series. You and your friends can team up to tackle the game together, whether it’s patrolling the city to stop crimes or progressing through story missions sequentially.

In Gotham Knights, you have the freedom to seamlessly transition between solo play and multiplayer mode without any repercussions, thanks to its drop-in/drop-out co-op feature.

Number of Players in Gotham Knights Multiplayer

Just a heads up, while there are four characters you can choose from, only two players can team up at a time. But here’s the cool part – you can roam the entire open world together without any limits on how far apart you can go from each other.

Starting Multiplayer in Gotham Knights

You have two choices to start playing co-op if you’re fine with whoever you play with. You can either join someone else’s game or switch your session to online mode and invite others to join you, either by waiting for them to join or by actively sending invitations.

To join another player’s game, just tap on “multiplayer” in the menu and let the “quick match” feature take care of the rest. Avoid selecting “host heroic assault” as it’s not part of the game yet.

How Gotham Knights Multiplayer Works?

When you join someone else’s game, or they join yours, the game adapts to include more players. This means enemies become tougher to defeat. Additionally, if there’s a level difference between players, the stronger player’s abilities adjust to match the lower player’s level.

Teaming up in the game pays off. As you level up characters, they gain special multiplayer moves like buffs, healing, and combo attacks.

When a player leaves, the difficulty adjusts accordingly. In multiplayer, losing health doesn’t spell failure; teammates can revive you.

Nightwing has a unique ability to revive teammates remotely. Progress made in multiplayer persists in your own game, including story missions. Completing a mission in multiplayer allows you to skip it in your solo playthrough.
