Video: Using Flash CC as a Physics Editor

I needed a Physics Editor that could add constraints (pivot joints and distance joints) for Nape. But couldn’t find anything that have what I need. So I created a couple of classes that parse the info from a SWF and exports a JSON.

3Crates

Build a tower of crates in this one-tap gameplay. Beat your friends, collect coins, unlock all crates! But watch out! - you need to be precise, because crates move faster the higher the stack gets! Stack at least 3 crates perfectly to earn points. The higher you stack, the points increase exponential!

Please share. My game #3Crates is live on the AppStore! https://t.co/ZdQRa8hcDE #Stage3D #StarlingFW #FeathersUI #Nape

Martin Bjeld Dev Lab: 3 Crates

I’m excited to show you a new iPhone game I just submitted to the app-store. Created with Adobe AIR, Starling, FeathersUI, Nape and Assetifier.

This game was very fun to make, and for the first time I decided to try to use Graphic artist and Audio makers from Fiverr.com. Im blown away with the quality of the Assets I had created by 2 very talented artist found on Fiverr.com.
Used in this project:
IntelliJ
Adobe AIR ( 15 )
StarlingFW ( Framework )
FeathersUI ( Components )
Assetifier ( Assets automation )
Nape ( Physics Engine )

Airport Award Adventure

An interactive game installation played at Airport Terminal.

We worked with United MileagePlus in setting up an interactive, Kinect-based game called “Airport Award Adventure” at Chicago O’Hare International Airport. Travelers were invited to play while waiting for their flight. The game was developed using the following Actionscript-related technologies:

  • Adobe AIR
  • AIRKinect ANE
  • Greensock Animation Platform
  • Nape physics engine
With minimal effort, we were also able to deploy a web-based version of the game which can be played here.
Bake-O-Rama

If you could bake yourself a match-three game, it would probably be like this! Playing isn’t restricted to lives - you use coins here to play several levels. More challenging levels require a little bit more coins than easier ones. You have training levels that don’t cost a single coin. Become the most successful baker in the world!
Made with Adobe AIR. Utilizes Starling, Feathers, TweenMax, LoaderMax, Nape and Freshplanet Facebook ANE.
Smart Asset Management and Resizing for supporting all kind of devices. Synchronizes across devices via Facebook Connect.
Runs on:
Facebook
Google Play
App Store

Ballounes is a hybrid game. The user’s phone is used as a remote control. It allows to aim and shoot arrows to explode the balloons.

From a technological point of view, we are based on the language Actionscript 3 to develop the web part and the iOS or Android application. We used Starling for visual rendering and physical simulation for NAPE. Communication between the web and the mobile is through P2P implemented in the Flash Player. This enables us to better communication in real time.
