Ballounes is a hybrid game. The user’s phone is used as a remote control. It allows to aim and shoot arrows to explode the balloons. 

From a technological point of view, we are based on the language Actionscript 3 to develop the web part and the iOS or Android application. We used Starling for visual rendering and physical simulation for NAPE. Communication between the web and the mobile is through P2P implemented in the Flash Player. This enables us to better communication in real time.

Snailboy Teaser Trailer

We are currently in the process of finishing our first game “Snailboy - an Epic Adventure” which is a unique physics based puzzle game, with rich in graphics, killer sounds and over 40 levels of intoxicating game play.

Snailboy was created with Adobe AIR, Starling and the NAPE Physics Engine.

The game is releasing on iOS and Android, and we are in development for OUYA as well. The iOS version should be available at the end of September 2013 with Android to follow shortly after.

Technical Stuff: (via Starling Forum)

The game uses 1024 sizes textures for lower end devices and uses 2048 textures for iphone 4s and up. We are using allot of sprites sheets, Compressed and uncompressed ATF textures and some really cool particle effects with the Starlings Particle System extension. The android version runs on most devices, end even runs OK on an old HTC desire. But for the best experience use, Iphone 4s and up or similar devices. The key is to load and unload the ATF textures when u need them.

Older devices like iPod 4 are supported with GPU mode while others are running in CPU mode to render the vector animation in SWF faster. Animations are done in Flash professional.
forceCPURenderModeForDevices tag is used to handle rendering of old and new devices. With some light effort of optmizing, the game run nicely from ipod 4, iphone 5 to the latest retina iPad. TweenMax and Nape engine are both used in the game where performance is still reasonable on iOS. Gamekit and UIWebView ane are also used in the app for multiplayer gaming and promotional annoucements.
