Flare3D AGAL2 Online Demo & Source code

A few days ago we showed you some screenshots of a new demo that we made to show the power of the new AGAL2 features added in AIR/Flash 14 . Finally, we published the demo including full source code! The code is available in Github and with this demo we officially open Flare3D Labs!

Take this just as a base experiment to play with!, we’ll continue working on this, specially to better integrate it with the engine pipeline and build a proper workflow for it…right now is a bunch of nice and very fun custom rendering stuff but it already shows lots of possibilities, and having already available things like depth and normal buffers, just opens the door for a lot of really interesting effects.Even though I tried to add some bits of comments through the code, I know it may contain some pieces of rough math , so please, fell free to ask anything you want, or post FPS or suggestions, or anything BTW, for those who want to compile it for mobile, it already has the multitouch interface It requires FP14 on desktop, and AIR15 with -swf-version=26 on mobile.

#miZXFLUX

From Jonathan Hart:

I can finally tell people about the app I’ve been helping out with. It’s for Adidas and made in AIR. Made by the wonderful folks at Stopp, it utilizes Starling and Flare3D.. It lets you take photos and send them to Adidas, who will print them on a pair of ZX Flux shoes and send them to you. It’s pretty awesome!

I worked on the camera portion of it which is pure native overlaid on top of the AIR runtime. It works beautifully in case you ever wondered if it was possible.. It even supports transparencies so you could place native views on top of AIR and nobody would know.

Football inspires! Bring life to your inspiration with Flare3D

The Game is simple, drag the ball to define power and direction. The shooting height is defined depending on the position you pick up the ball (picking the ball  in the bottom you get a height shot).  The game use physics and is really simple.
This example works with a custom Dev Build library (included with the example), this library was compiled only for development and testing purposes. If you want the latest and stable version of Flare3D you can get it from our website.
Take this example as inspiration, we will be happy if you take the challenge to build your own football game, adding moves, headers, dribbling, etc…
