Tutorial: Adobe AIR on mobile

Creating a Custom Virtual Keyboard

Although AIR for iOS offers access to the iOS virtual keyboard, you have limited control over the type of keyboard that appears.
If you want additional keyboard configurations within your Flash project then you’ll need to build your own custom keyboard component. Although this will require some development effort it will allow you to tailor the user experience.
For certain apps such as games, you may actually find a custom keyboard is the preferred option, as it will better fit your visual design.

Ariel Nehmad is creating Flare3D for JavaScript

I’ve been obsessed with 3D programming and math since I was a little kid, and in the recent years, I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to create Flare3D, a 3D engine that was widely used by professional Adobe Flash and AIR developers all over the world for web and mobile applications and games, including Zynga’s FarmVille 2 and CityVille 2.

With your help, I would love to bring all that experience and knowledge to create a complete JavaScript professional 3D / WebGL framework for web and mobile.

With main focus on workflow and tools, but also prioritizing a lightweight, easy to use library…..this time in JavaScript!
